From the study on the Book of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), Gideon Levytam provides us with an introduction to this most important prophecy concerning the people of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. Daniel sets before us the period of time called, “the Times of the Gentiles” Luke 21:24, during which time God’s people Israel will be dispersed and under the control of Gentile empires. In his prophecy, Daniel takes us to the final days, when Israel will receive their Messiah Jesus at His 2nd coming, and be restored to Him. Jesus the Messiah will then take His rightful place. The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector (מָשָל הָפָרוּש וֶהָמוֹכֶס)
Gideon Levytam highlights an important lesson that Jesus the Messiah taught in the Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector, found in Luke 18:9-14. The Messiah warns the self righteous person, who exalts himself, to be humbled before God, and not to think themselves better than others, because God knows the heart. Anyone who honestly confesses their sins, and believes in Jesus the Messiah, will be forgiven and justified before God.
