It's All About Authority
In the spiritual realm, Christ is King. He, the creator of all that is spiritual, and has overcome and conquered all that is not of God, every principality, power, and dominion, is the only One who is in that position of absolute authority and power. It is as the believer submits to the authority of Christ, that His authority to overcome all that is of the enemy is given.
Either Or
When coming to God, and Him dealing with us, things are light or darkness, flesh or Spirit. Ultimately they are life or death in their effects. To know Christ is to truly live, and so it is with walking with God. Though we may not understand all that we encounter in this life, we can trust the One who is Life and Light, to go before to lead and guide, provide and protect, until that moment when all will be light in the full revelation of Christ. Every day is a choice of going forward with Him, or not. But grace is abundantly given to be strengthened, and inspired to pursue Christ.
The Three Longest Days
After the crucifixion of Christ there was a tremendous sense of loss. This would be most felt by those who loved Christ the most. And yet, through the three long days, God was working to bring about the great miracle of the resurrection of Christ. In this singular event, followed by the outpouring of the Spirit, would come the greatest change in history among men. The night of despair had broken forth to an ever lasting day of blessing, and hope. Christ had come not only to deal with sins, but to dwell in the heart by faith.
The Ministry Of The Spirit Within
When the Spirit of God was poured out at Pentecost, and the church was born, every member in the body of Christ was anointed by the Spirit, receiving from Him His working to form Christ in the heart and life. That working speaks of the revelation He gives of Christ, and the power that He communicates in and through the believer to BE what he IS in Christ.
Love's Divine Design
There is a design in the revelation of the love of God. It is to first of all to save the sinner, delivering him from the domination of sin and Satan, setting him free to run a race, one where the great blessing is the knowledge of Christ, that communion with the Son of God, and the Father by the Spirit. The goal is certain, for the hope is sure. God has provided all in Christ in HIs love that the soul should truly live by the eternal Life of Christ.
In Times Of War
There is an invisible, spiritual war in which the believer is engaged. A clear understanding of this warfare, and the principles that must be applied in waging it, are essential if one is to appropriate Christ in a manner that assures victory. All becomes possible by the Spirit, with the knowledge of the truth. Christ is the 'Conqueror, and we are conquerors in Him.
Becoming What We Are
When a person comes to Christ, and the miracle of the new birth occurs, he becomes a new creation IN Christ. So very many things become true of him at that moment, so that he must seek to find out what God has done to not only justify him, but to set him apart for His glory, to live by faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit. He has a calling from God, and all the resources in Christ for its fulfillment.
A Life Well Pleasing To God
How does one please God? Is it by our own means and resources? Scripture is very clear that if we would please Him then we must come by His way, and that way is faith, believing that He IS, and the He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. For those who truly seek Him, they will find Him. God is pleased when we walk in fellowship with Him. This is blessedly possible because He has provided all things in Christ.
The Eternal Faithful Refuge
God has revealed Himself to men as their refuge, that One who will keep and protect, provide for, and shield from the enemy's assaults. He is also that One who IS the strength of those who truly trust in Him. He not only gives strength, but by His constant presence, IS and remains their strength. The issue is whether the believer will turn to Him in faith, and receive all according to His promises.
The Essential Of Power
How does God work in a heart and life? He gives power, that blessed, quiet strength to be and to do what is well-pleasing to God. The vision of this power will determine to a great extent the appropriation of it. This is why worship of Christ is essential, for in worshipping Him we begin to grasp the wonder, enormity, and availability of His power to be received by faith.
