The Clear Unmistakable Message

God is a God of light, indeed He is light. He is thus clear in His dealings with me. Why is this so very important? In a sinful world, with an enemy that is bent on deceiving and destroying, it is imperative that we trust God for His clarity, and the conviction of His will and ways. If we would walk with assurance, then we must be clear. God will be clear with the one who truly trusts Him for it.

Overcoming The Impossible Situation

What is required for God to intervene in the affairs of men, that they be saved? It is first and foremost the cry of the heart, one which reveals the earnest seeking of God. We sometimes forget that God is merciful, and that He is waiting to hear the cry of the needy, and helpless. In His wisdom, He will always respond if we are willing to truly surrender to Him.

How Much More

The Christian life is one of receiving from God, in order to give that which is received. It is a life of serving by the Spirit, in the will of God, believing Him to bless and glorify His name. How much does He desire to give? Certainly more than we could ever imagine or receive. However, for the one who would receive and know the fulness of the Spirit, Christ's reign in the life, and His abundant blessing, there is the invitation to seek and find.

A Time For Everything

God is the creator of time, and thus, knows it altogether. He also knows that for which we have been born, and born again. God proves to mankind that He is sovereign by His use of time, declaring what will occur on this earth with regard to time, whether it be a day or a thousand years. He is the Master of time. It is for this reason that He is to be sought and found as the only Source by which we can know the will of God, and believe Him for the realization of His purposes in the time allotted to us.

Truth Becoming Us

When Christ was born in Bethlehem, He fulfilled an eternal promise of God concerning the Emmanuel who was to come. This Emmanuel would be "God with us," the eternal God coming to dwell with us in flesh and blood, that we should see something of His glory. His eternal truth was manifested in the flesh. And so it is with the Christian, indwelt by the Spirit of God. He is a temple in which the eternal truth of Christ's indwelling life is to be revealed, and the fruits of the Spirit seen and known.

True Body Life

When the body of Christ was "born," or created at Pentecost with the coming of the Spirit, every believer was baptized into Christ by that very same Spirit. Not only did the believer become one with Christ by virtue of being placed in Him, but every believer became a member of the body of Christ, drinking into one Spirit. Every believer shared Life by the Spirit with every other believer, partaking of the blessings of Christ, to share with others of the body, and testify of Christ's salvation to the world.

The Coming Of The Storm And The Certain Hope

With the storm of judgment upon the city of Jerusalem because of her rejection of Christ, there would come also, a declaration of hope, and certainty in the promise of God for a new beginning. The period between the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans, and the coming of the Messiah to establish His reign would be long, but the blessing after the storm would eclipse the suffering and oppression of many years. Christ will come with healing in His wings, to establish righteousness upon the earth, bringing about immeasureable blessing. And so He can and will do in the individual life if there is a willingness to truly seek Him today.

Great Loss Great Gain

God's perspective is always eternal. Some times in the economy of God, the good is the enemy of the best and the highest. What is the highest for the believer? It is that true knowledge of God, of Christ, as revealed by the Spirit of God. It is the consistent testimony of Scripture that as there is great loss, in one form or fashion, with regard to the things of this world, there is greater gain, from an eternal standpoint, often revealed in a most extraordinary way in on this earth, and to be fully unveiled in heaven.

Walking According To A Rule

There is a great simplicity in Christ, one to which we can always return when the complicated becomes overwhelming. It is that of the principle, or rule, of a new creation, where we are called again and again to dwell in the newness of this life of Christ by the Spirit, resting in Him and Him alone for all, there to derive all from Him by that inward aspiration of faith. Christ is our life, and we are to live by, for, and unto Him.

Three Roles, Sons, Servants, And Soldiers

The calling of God is singular, but at the same time, encompassing a multitude of differing tasks and enablements. A believer is not just a "son of God," or child of God, but a servant, living to do his Master's will, to serve Him. For this to occur he must be also a soldier, for in this unbelieving world, he will be opposed.
