Take Time To Be Holy
Where does holiness come from? Is it possible to be holy, not only positionally before God in Christ, but in our experience of walking with God? Moses was holy in his walk with God because of tending to the first things, true worship of Him, alone and by the Spirit. Moses was there in that place daily changed as he beheld the glory of God, God shining on him.
If Ye Be Risen With Christ
One has ALL in Christ by virtue of one's union with Christ, brought about at the moment of the new birth. But does one have all in Christ in one's experience of following Christ? Paul learned the key, being crucified with Christ, buried with Him, raised up with Him, and now being seated in heavenly places IN Christ today, this very moment. Paul learned to LIVE in heaven by faith, in order to walk worthy of Christ on this earth.
Christ Working Through The Believer
How does the living Christ in the believer work through the life of the believer? It is by the working to will and to do of God's good pleasure. It is the "doing" of that which is to be done, and this by faith in Christ by the Spirit. One can only be a doer of the Word when one is submitted to, and dependent upon Him.
A Second Great Absolute Position Of Faith
There are salient features in a life of faith, like light houses on the shore of an ocean, or major signposts along a untraveled path. A second one of these positions or signposts that must be seen, grasped, and lived by, is the cross of Christ. The work that Jesus accomplished on the cross was not only complete, and finished, but it encompassed the totality of man's need with regard to setting us free from sin, Satan, and self to worship and serve God.
A First Great Absolute Position Of Faith
Faith is not based solely upon knowledge of the truth, but upon the Living God of the truth. Paul declares it standing, not in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. It begins with the truth concerning the blood of Christ, its power, and effectiveness in dealing with all sin.
Walking, Leaping, And Praising God
There is joy inexpressible when the Lord moves, and the blessing of God is mightily, though quietly revealed. Such was the case with one man who was lame from birth. When he was healed by the working of the Spirit, his joy could know no bound in his praise to God, rejoicing in Him. The testimony of this man was abounding and abundant, even that of walking, leaping, and praising God.
Waging War Victoriously
The call to fight a good fight of faith, is a call to victorious living. Every believer, by virtue of his union with Christ, and the Spirit of God in his heart, is called upon to overcome all things, so that out of a life of communion, God may glorify His name in the life. And this He will do if the fight is a good one, according to His will and in the Spirit, for His glory.
Waging War In Christ
The war to which we are called to be engaged in is a spiritual one, which can only be waged by the Spirit, with the weapons of the Spirit. There are certainly repercussions of this warfare in the physical realm, but the nature of such a conflict is spiritual, between the Spirit of God and the enemy. The believer is on Christ's side, and appropriates Him for every need in this conflict.
The Position And Power Of Standing By Faith
It is one thing to say and to think that one lives by faith. The great proof of such a life is in revealed in the matter of standing, taking a position of faith which the Lord has given, in order to prove Him. It is in standing that one appropriates the grace of God. It is in overcoming that the believer experiences the power of Christ to walk victoriously by the Spirit.
The Miracles Of God Alone
Every act of God is a miracle of God. This is so because man, in particular, lost man, cannot do anything good, or accomplish anything holy a part from God. God alone can do God's work, His will in His way, for His glory. For man, this is a miracle, something that is impossible for him to accomplish in and of himself.
