The Centerpiece Of Our Calling
What is the centerpiece of our calling but true fellowship with God. The believer is called into that fellowship. Indeed, the work of Christ on Calvary was to deal with everything that hindered that fellowship, and provide for all necessary to experience and live it.
Preach The Word
If souls are to believe in Christ, then His word must be preached. The truths of the Gospel are the very basis for faith, for God gives faith to truly trust Him only according to the truth.
Nothing Between
Walking in the light with Christ speaks of transparency, there being nothing hidden from Him, nor anything standing in the way of following Him. If we would follow Him fully, then must surrender to Him wholly, allowing nothing and no one to come between us and Him.
Complete In Christ
What does it mean to be complete in Christ? Is there a need that I have that He is not willing to meet in me today? All the fulness of God is in Christ, and we have placed in Him by the Father, that we might abide in this living Vine, there to receive all from Him by the inward attitude of faith.
The Victor's Credentials
What are the believer's credentials for believing God for victory in the life? It is first being sealed in the Lord Jesus by the Spirit. The testimony of the Spirit's presence and working, is confirmation that one is complete in Christ, and there is all sufficiency for every need in Him.
The God Who Speaks
One of the basic methods in dealing with men is to speak to them. This is so very important because of the power and authority associated with His words. When He speaks to the heart, He not only is providing a reason for believing, and trusting Him, but is giving the power and strength to believe, even in the face of opposition.
The Ever-Intervening God
Because of who God is, gracious and merciful, He is ever intervening in the lives of men. His intervention is first to get the attention of men, as He does require a response if there is to be a deeper working. Christ draws all to Him, in order that in seeing who He is, and what He has accomplished in love on the cross, He might truly win the hearts of all, and save them.
Stirred Up To Seek God
When God moves upon the heart, a people, or nation, He works to stir them up to seek Him. His purpose is not just to move them to seek, but to find. Indeed, this is the promise of HIs word. "If you shall seek Me, you find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
Beyond The Veil
There is a depth of fellowship with God, where He alone can lead us to know. It is "beyond the veil," in that blessed place called the Holy of Holies. There God has chosen, in Christ, to provide for the coming of the believer into that place of aloneness with Him, there to know, through His word and Spirit, what true worship is. Out of that worship, He reveals Himself to the heart and soul.
All Things New
God is determined to deal entirely with every vestige of sin, in the making of a new heaven and new earth. How much more, is this great salvation designed to deal with all that is of sin, and its effects in the life. God hides our lives in Christ, clothing us with His righteousness, ever seeking to quicken us by His Spirit to live by Christ's eternal life.
