The Practical Appropriation of Christ
How does one abide in Christ. The believer has been placed in living union with Christ, so how does he live in this relationship, receiving all from Christ? The answer lies in the fact of our union with Christ, and faith in Him by the Spirit to dwell in the heart by faith.
The Lord's Specific Comings
There are two great events which speak of Christ's coming. But what of His other specific interventions in history, where He reveals Himself to a nation, even to the world. And what about the morning meeting with God, the Father and Son, by the Spirit? Is this not Christ coming to reveal Himself to the heart?
Who Teaches Like Him?
No one every taught like the Lord Jesus. Not only did He speak only that which was, and is true, but it was with power and authority, that given by the Father to convince lost men that Christ was indeed the Son of God, the Savior of the World, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.
The Mystery Among the Nations
What is a mystery but that which is hidden? That which has been revealed to mankind at the end of the ages, especially since Pentecost, is that God, by the Spirit of Christ, has come to dwell in the hearts of all men who will believe. "Christ In You The Hope Of Glory."
Submitting To Authority, Authority Given
Great faith is revealed in one's understanding that submission to the authority of Christ is essential if one would know His authority in and through the life.
Receiving The Blessing Of God
What is involved in receiving all that God desires to give? Is this not the blessing of God? How is it received? "All is in Christ, by the Holy Spirit, for the glory of God, all else is nothing." Herein is true blessing, to know Christ, and the power of His resurrection.
Drawing Near To God
What does it mean to draw near to God? How is this possible since God is already near, even closer than the very air that we breathe? The experience of His nearness is made real as He reveals Himself to the heart and soul. How does He do this? It is out of life of worship in Spirit and truth, that the Lord Jesus makes His presence known. He draws near the one who truly, honestly, seeks Him.
Christ's Free Spirit
The only truly free person who has lived on this earth has been the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? He was not constrained or limited by the sinful, selfish nature of man. Though confronted often by Satan, He remained absolutely free from his control and dominion. Christ was free from all men, as he was the absolute, devoted Son of the Father. His freedom was as great as the love that He knew, and gave.
The Power Of The Offensive
There is no passivity in the Christian life. There is quietness of spirit, and the blessed calm of the peace of God, but the believer is called to active faith. He is at the same time a runner, soldier, farmer, and servant. In that place of blessed peace of mind and heart, there is holy action, in the will of God.
The Abounding Grace Of God
When God speaks of His abounding grace, of what is He speaking? With regard to the amount, there is the measure that He gives according to our faith. With respect to the word, "grace," what more can one do but to look at the heart of God who looks beyond our faults and failures, to see and answer our need. It is out of the goodness of His heart that the abundance comes.
