Daniel 9:3-14 - Daniel's Prayer of Confession on Behalf of His People Israel
From Chapter 9:3-14 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam points to the godly attitude of Daniel, as he identifies with the sins of his people Israel. While God’s Word doesn’t mention any personal sin in Daniel’s life, he suffered along with his people. In his prayer of confession, Daniel said, "we have sinned and have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly, and have rebelled". Daniel, in his prayer and supplication before God, admitted to the disobedience of the whole nation, including the prophets, the kings, the princes and the fathers. Daniel understood that God's judgment was poured out on Israel because of God's promise in the law of Moses. Now that the seventy years of captivity were coming to an end, Daniel wanted God to fulfill His promise to restore His people of Israel back to Himself, and to their land.
Ephesians 6:18-24 - Pray Always With All Prayer and For All God's People
From Ephesians 6:18-24, Gideon Levytam concludes the study of Paul's letter to the Ephesians. In his final words to the Ephesians, Paul charged them to pray at all times, with all prayer and supplication in the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul also charged the Ephesians to be persistent as they pray to their God on behalf of His people. As a servant of the Lord Jesus the Messiah, Paul also requested that they pray for him, that he would have boldness as he shares with everyone God’s Word. Paul concludes his letter with the desire that the Ephesians, and all who love the Lord, would experience, peace, love and grace, which is provided through God the Father, and the Lord Jesus the Messiah.

Prophecies of the Messiah - The Bread of Life (לֶחֶם הַחַיִּים)
From the 16th chapter of Exodus and Psalm 78, Gideon Levytam points to the tenth prophecy in the Hebrew Scriptures concerning the promise of the coming Messiah. On their way to the promised land of Canaan, the people of Israel murmured as they journeyed in the wilderness, longing for the bread and flesh pots of Egypt. The LORD graciously rained down bread from heaven, which the people named Manna - הַמָן. Exodus 16:4, this bread is also called angel’s food in Psalm 78:24-25. Although the children of Israel ate the manna and satisfied their hunger, yet, in the way of all men, they still died physically. God was conveying a spiritual message to His people, that He would send down from heaven the Messiah, the living bread, who would provide eternal life to those willing to trust in Him. The Manna symbolizes the person of Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, He is the living bread - לֶחֶם הַחַיִּים, John 6:51. While walking by the Sea of Galilee, Yeshua, Jesus said of Himself saying, I am the bread of life, he that cometh to me shall never hunger, your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh. John 6:35, 49, 51.

Daniel 9:1-2 - Daniel's Understanding of the Coming End of Israel's Captivity
From Chapter 9:1-2 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam directs our attention to Daniel’s faithfulness in reading the Hebrew Scriptures, while in captivity. Although Daniel lived in a foreign land, under the rule of the Babylonian and Persian kingdoms, he longed for the restoration of his people back to their homeland. In his careful meditation of God’s Word to Jeremiah the prophet, Daniel understood that the seventy years of Jerusalem’s desolation, and the captivity of the Jewish people was about to end. Daniel now prepares himself to make an appeal for his people Israel, praying to his gracious God on their behalf.
Ephesians 6:13-17 - Put on the Whole Armour of God
From Ephesians 6:13-17, Gideon Levytam continues with Paul's instruction to the Ephesians concerning their spiritual battles. Positionally, God’s people are safe from anything that satan can do against them, because they are secure in the Lord Jesus the Messiah. But, while they are still here on earth, waiting the return of Yeshua the Messiah, they need to put on the whole armour of God, if they are to withstand the wiles of the devil. Paul charges the Ephesians to take on the whole armour of God, which is; truth, righteousness, sharing the gospel, faith and trust in God, appreciation of God’s salvation and the knowledge of His Word. Only then, and by God’s grace, will the believer be able to stand firm, and be equipped to withstand the wiles of the devil.

Prophecies of the Messiah - A Lamb Without Blemish (שֶׂה תָמִים)
From the 12th chapter of Exodus and the 53rd chapter of Isaiah, Gideon Levytam points to the ninth prophecy in the Hebrew Scriptures concerning the promise of the coming of the Messiah. Israel’s promised Messiah - הַמָּשִׁיחַ, would enter this world as a babe born to a virgin, becoming flesh, a sinless man, who would become a sacrifice for the sin of the world. During Israel’s history many animals had been sacrificed, according to the Word of the LORD, in order to make an atonement for the children of Israel. God promised that He would send the Messiah, who would become THE Lamb of God, and that He would not only atone for sins, but remove them completely. Throughout scripture, the servant of the LORD is presented in His humility, His meekness and submission, as fulfilled in the person of Yeshua the Messiah. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before his shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. Isaiah 53:7. In John 1:29 we read, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which take away the sin of the world." הִנֵּה שֵׂה הָאֱלֹהִים הַנֹּשֵׂא אֶת־חַטַּאת הָעוֹלָם.
